I got thinking this evening about how many times I came home from high school with my arm covered in biro tattoos I drew on during that day’s lessons, and I really wish I’d photographed them all. Thats what today’s pic is about. I’m not sure why, but its really enjoyable to draw on skin so you may see some more of these in the future.
We just got back from the Bad Teeth #6 Launch at the Alibi Room. I picked myself up a copy of the new book and a bonus copy of his “Winners of the Draw Slimer! Contest zine” and a sweet cheeseburger badge. We left early but the night looked promising, free candy hotdogs n burgers, and Kool Aid slurpees. I spent most of the day working on an animation job but had a few spare moments this arvo so I busted out this pic for a comp I came across today. The brief was to design some brown paper bag art for Toohey’s new 696 Tallie It was a good fun little challenge and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, I hope the judges think so too.
I just popped down to a bakery down the road and got myself a super tasty pie with peas. It wasn’t really as big as the pic above, but I wish it was, it was soooo tasty.
Since I’ve got my 30th coming up soon, I thought I’d whip up this version of me in the not too distant future, sad 
Well, its not ‘really’ a daily drawing, but it is some art I did on friday in lieu of a drawing. This was a commissioned piece for a very good friend and was completed in around 10 hours. Its acrylic on a 36″ x 24″ canvas. I was a little worried at the start but was very happy with the end result.
I was listening to some Hilltop Hoods on JJJ when I started today’s drawing, so thats what came out on my page. I’m also finding I’m chewing through these expensive Copics pretty quickly with these drawings, so I’ll probably drop back to some cheaper felt pens for the last few drawings. You may have noticed there was no drawing yesterday, that was because I was flat out all day painting. I’ll get a photo of the finished painting and post it up soon.
Not quite as flash as my last lunch photo, but just as tasty. I had some flashbacks of my high school lunches which were normally vegemite sandwichs, to which I’d add Tomato Samboys. I couldn’t find any of them so I had to run with BBQ Smiths which weren’t too bad either.
Qjump, rubbish. I’ve just wasted almost 3 hours online waiting to get my girlfriend tickets to Splendour with their ‘amazing’ new ticket buying system. I was going to write a big spiel about how crap it is, but I can’t be bothered. Needless to say she isn’t going to Splendour and I’ll do everything I can to avoid that site in the future. Qjump is the most inappropriate name too, it should be something along the lines of “youreinavirtualqueuewhereyouhavenoideawhatsgoingon.com”

Well I’m glad I didn’t waste too much time watching Origin tonight, I’m not sure why, but its just not as fun to watch as it used to be. Maybe it was just a bad game, who knows, but I’m not real pumped to watch the second one.
